About the Office of Community Expectations

Our Mission

The Office of Community Expectations will promote student accountability, community standards, and responsibility. We strive to achieve this through proactive education, preventative interventions, an individualized developmental approach, and a connection to the greater USC community and its resources.

Our Values

Accountability – OCE works with students to set clear expectations and provide opportunities to take responsibility for our actions, decisions, and outcomes.

Conduct with Care – OCE engages students in a meaningful way seeking to understand, listen, respect, and demonstrate compassion for our students’ lived experiences. We empathize with students’ unique needs and work with campus partners to promote students’ individual development and well-being.

Integrity – OCE strives to hold our students to the highest standards of ethics and integrity. We aim for our practices to be consistent and to foster a process that embodies USC’s Unifying Values.
